Geographical Features
  • Mexico is a vast country with over an area of 758,449 square miles (1,964,375 square kilometres). It is the third largest country in Latin America.
  • To the north, Mexico shares a border with the United States while to the south with Guetamala.
  • Mexico is a land of extremes containing high mountains and deep canyons at the centre of the country, sweeping deserts in the north and dense rainforests in the south and the east.
  • Major mountain range: The Sierra Madre Occidental
  • Major rivers: Rio Grande, Yaqui.
Best Places to Visit in Mexico
  • Izamal:
Izamal is nicknamed “Ciudad Amarilla” (Yellow City) because every single building in this city is painted yellow. Yes, you heard it right! The city is painted in yellow and it will turn your frown upside down.
  • Guadalajara
Guadalajara is the second largest city in Mexico and a popular getaway spot for people who are interested in the Mexican culture. The city has a vast number of museums and cultural sites that preserve the Mexican history.
  • Chichén Itzá
Chichén Itzá is one of the most famous and best preserved Maya sites in Mexico. This beautiful  UNESCO Heritage Site has over 1.2 million visitors every year. People and culture
  • Approximately one-fifth of Mexicans live in the metropolitan area.
  • Most of the people in Mexico are a product of a rich Indian and European descent.

There are more than 1,500 species of reptiles, mammals, and amphibians as well as breeding and nesting areas for endangered sea turtles, dolphins and whales.
Food:
  • Internationally, Mexico is known for cuisines such as Burrito, Nachos, Quesadillas, and Tortillas. However there are other reginal dishes such as mole poblano, chiles en nogada, and chalupas from Puebla.
